Camp Soar develops character by changing mindsets and
building positive states through neurolinguistic or brain-based
language learning in a high-impact 2 Day camp that challenges the heart,
mind and strength. Learning is now fun.
Camp Soar's premise rests on three things for an immersive and transformational camping experience – hands, heart and head.Campers will acquire a set of transformational skills, strategies and techniques for the 21st Century to meet and and thrive on change:
Students who strive for greater academics, attitude and athletics. They can be categorised as follows:
Campers will learn and master the various skills to achieve greater results in all three areas of hands, heart and head.
Head - Academics
Creative Thinking – think on the feet and look for alternatives
Creative Story-telling – pitch your stories to your friends
Creative Writing - practice 'What If?' in an outdoor setting
Hands - Athletics
Memory – memorise 50 items in order, applicable for any subject
Visualisation – Create pictograms from scenery and greenery
Speed - Build the tallest tower using only natural materials
Heart - Attitude
Mindset – use a leaf or flower petal to break a pencil
Teambuilding – work in a role-play with teammates
Self-motivation - complete an amazing race in an outdoor environment
What will my child learn?

- Head refers to academics – a set of language skills and strategies to prepare for examination
- Hands refer to athletics – the ability to think on the feet, visualise success and strive for more.
- Heart refers to attitude – a great attitude, to take setbacks in stride and work with people.

- Commoner – Low self-esteem, lies low and doesn't shine, lack intiative
- Neutron – Insufficient ability to control or manage feelings
- Gunslinger – Poor discipline, happy-go-lucky, does things without forethought or planning
- Underperformer – Grades are usually low and like stock prices, they go up and down
- Lone Ranger – Inward-looking, unable to work with others
