Since the 'Decade of the Brain' was announced by former U.S. President George Bush in 1990, decades of research has revealed new and exciting information about how the brain acquires language. From neuropeptides and neurotransmitters such as cortisols and serotonin to specific areas of the brain focused on language like the Broca's Lobe and Wernicke's Area, neuroscience has taught us how best to develop our mental faculties to facilitate language mastery.
